A special video treat from Gibson

WOnderful video! Taken in '06?

I don't year what year it was made, I just saw it recently, but because its a christmas carol and still online, christmas of last year might be right.

I thought so too. It was orignally on Gibson's website.

I didn't see it on Gibson's site, I usually just go there to look at banjos, LOL.

I was on the actual Earl Scruggs board, and I saw the link!

The problem with that board is, no one else can get on! They aren't accepting new members! Screw that! I'd rather be on this board anyway!

I know, but I still occasionally check up on posts for new stuff. Not much though.

Me to, every once in a great while.

There's not much new stuff on there anymore...probably because everyone is pissed off at Randy Escobedo!

Thats one of the people Brent was talking, I don't even know the guy, but he must be a nut or something.

Thats who kicked Brent off! I have emailed him about certain "issues" and he IS a nut!

Is he the moderator? I couldn't even email the moderator about why they weren't letting people on the board, wouldn't go through.

Theres his email. I found it on Earl's arcived message board (which you might be able to post on if you just leave your name and email, no signing up required, but It don't look like no ones posted there since 2003.)

I've tried posting there, you have to be registered, but since 2003, they haven't accepted any more registrations since then for some reason.

Yup. I emailed David Schenkman, the Admin, and he replied. The email went as follows in quotations

"The design was made by Earl Scruggs management to not take new registrations due to one belligerent poster who became a huge pest.

He would register and post vulgar posts.

After the account was deleted, he would register as a different name and repost.



I have purchased a new forum software package with better controls on confirming registrations.

However, I have had troubles getting it to run on my server without adversely affecting everything else.



So, until I can get those problems solved, we are stuck.

Well, hes trying. Man, whats up with screwballs like that? Going under all those different names and insulting people! Its people like that that got the Earl forum shut down!

But don't it make you wonder, the guy has had 4 years, how long does it take to get that sorted out?

Thats what I emailed back and told him. The mother trucker never emailed me back!! I hate pseudonyms!!
